How the cloud is keeping businesses connected in 2020
28 August 2020
As IT is having it’s moment in the sun currently, keeping many businesses connected to their systems while they have to work away from their normal office locations, it’s might seem odd to want to focus on the cloud.
But the cloud is the key to how we’ve kept our clients' businesses running – via services we already had in place (such as Microsoft 365 or via Control and Shift's own servers at our datacentre) it has been the ability to connect our customers to their data remotely that has been crucial to them being able to work in new ways this year.
More generally, we are seeing businesses whose IT team is switched on to cloud solutions have been able to ride out the lockdown fairly smoothly, whereas those that have not moved with the times are faring not quite as well. As a proven cloud computing provider, we are in a great position to assist those in the latter category.
